Everyone you ask whether the Manduca can be used for newborns tells you something different. Even the experts disagree, and your midwife contradicts your pediatrician. In forums and information platforms, you'll repeatedly find conflicting information about when you can start using a Manduca baby carrier. Who are new parents supposed to ask? Their mothers know very little about babywearing because when they were young mothers themselves, it was considered something quite exotic. But it's really quite simple; you can truly trust your instincts. However, nobody wants to rely solely on that, so here are a few facts:

1. newborns (ab3500g) sit securely in the orthopedically correct M-position when using the integrated seat reducer, with their legs remaining inside the carrier.
2. Babies (from around 3 months old) can sit in the M-position even without a seat insert and can now be carried in any of the following carrying positions.
3. Toddlers (up to a maximum of 20 kg) receive sufficient back support thanks to the integrated back extension.

• All fabrics are manufactured according to our own specifications and dyed according to our guidelines. Even with accessories (buckles, buttons, ribbons, filling material), the manufacturer has already ensured that all requirements for future pollutant certification are met. Both pollutant certification and certification regarding safety standards are in preparation, and the manufacturer very much hopes to be able to present an official seal of approval soon.

Back-friendly and simply comfortable:

In the Manduca baby carrier, you carry your child close to your body, without any bothersome layers of fabric or a frame, almost like in a sling. The ergonomic design and the anatomically shaped hip belt transfer the weight from the parent's shoulders to their hips, just like a good hiking backpack.

The softly padded shoulder straps can be crossed at the back (front carry) or used in a backpack style (front and back carry) – whichever you prefer!

Do Manduca carriers really grow with your child?:

• Even newborns are held securely in the integrated seat reducer and can be carried in the Manduca from the very beginning, with their legs still remaining inside the baby carrier.
• At around 3 months, you can carry your baby in the typical M-position (frog-leg position) without a seat reducer, either in front of your stomach, on your hip, or later on your back.
• A hidden head and neck support is only unfolded when needed and supports your child's head once they fall asleep.
• The ingenious integrated back extension of the Manduca child carrier guarantees sufficient support in the shoulder area even for larger children (up to 20kg).
