Buckle-free hybrid baby carriers are also known as wrap conversions, Mei Tais, or tie-back carriers. They combine the best of both worlds: the stability and pre-shaped structure of a baby carrier with the softness and adjustability of a baby wrap, as they are tied entirely like a wrap.

Features of Buckle-Free Hybrid Carriers

Unlike "Half-Buckle" carriers (with a buckle on the waist belt) or "Full-Buckle" carriers (fully equipped with buckles), these designs completely eliminate hard plastic fasteners.

• Tie-On Waist Belt: Instead of a buckle, the waist belt is secured with a simple double knot.
• Tie-On Shoulder Straps: The shoulder straps are usually wide and wrap-like (often spreadable), helping distribute weight evenly for greater comfort.
• Pre-Shaped Back Panel: The baby sits in a pouch made from wrap fabric that supports the ergonomic spread-squat position (M-position).
