Which baby carrier is the right one...

When should you start carrying your baby?

Generally speaking: the sooner, the better! Babies are meant to be carried; they love the closeness, the smell, and the heartbeat of their mother (or father). Strollers don't offer this. Every one of our baby carriers, whether Marsupi or Manduca, can be used from birth (3500g). Since the Marsupi has proven easier to use in the early stages, we offer a 2-for-1 deal.

Is every baby carrier healthy for my baby?

No, not every baby carrier is healthy, and an unhealthy one can harm your baby's healthy hip development! Babies also don't feel secure in these carriers, as they are forced into an unhealthy position that contradicts their natural leg position. Avoid baby carriers that force the baby to face forward. This sitting position is not only unhealthy, but inevitably leads to overstimulation of your baby. The baby cannot hide away when it becomes too much. This overstimulation then usually manifests itself in the evening. So, what should you look for? A baby carrier must support the baby's natural frog-leg position. This is also known as the M-position. When you look at babies in baby carriers, an M shape should be recognizable by their leg position (bottom and feet down, knees up). Our Marsupi and Manduca baby carriers naturally support this healthy posture. Material and ingredients: For comfortable carrying, the shoulder straps should be as wide and well-padded as possible. Babies from around 9 months old become too heavy for baby carriers without a hip belt. With our Manduca baby carrier, the baby's weight rests entirely on the hips. You can use this carrier until your child is about 5 years old. The material of the baby carrier and sling should generally be organic, as babies suck on the shoulder straps and are sometimes carried in them wearing only a diaper. Of course, you can get the Marsupi and Manduca baby carriers, as well as the Moby Wrap sling (optional), in organic quality.

Fazit:

Baby carriers and slings allow you to keep your hands free while out and about and offer greater mobility. General activities like strolling through a crowded city or even climbing stairs are much easier without a bulky stroller. Regular carrying makes babies calmer; they cry less and feel secure. Carrying promotes bonding, fulfilling the baby's fundamental need for security. A baby carrier can help prevent hip dysplasia and is frequently used by doctors as a therapeutic tool. Of course, the correct carrying position in the anatomical M-position is essentia Brief information about our baby carriers (more details on the respective page via the links): Moby Wrap: An elastic baby wrap, indispensable for premature babies with limited muscle tone and, of course, full-term newborns. The Moby Wrap is a top seller among elastic wraps, as it is the only elastic wrap on the market made of 100% cotton (optionally available in organic cotton). You tie the wrap and then place your baby inside. You can take your baby out of the wrap as often as you like; the Moby Wrap remains tied to your body. We recommend the Moby Wrap up to approximately 9 months of age, even though it has a maximum weight capacity of 15 kg. From around 9 months, we recommend switching to the Manduca comfort carrier, as the baby will then be too heavy to be carried solely on the shoulders and back. Marsupi: The Marsupi Plus is a baby carrier suitable for carrying full-term newborns and babies up to approximately 15 kg. This baby carrier is super quick to put on thanks to its clever Velcro fastening system. The lightweight summer version in a linen/cotton blend is ideal. With this Marsupi Breeze, your baby won't get sweaty. Manduca: The Manduca is a comfortable baby carrier suitable for babies weighing 3500g to approximately 20kg. With the Manduca, the baby's weight rests entirely on the hips, making it a popular choice for carrying children well into kindergarten age. This is not only practical but also very much in vogue. All our baby carriers and slings meet every requirement for healthy and comfortable carrying. Whether Manduca, Marsupi, or Moby Wrap, every baby carrier we offer supports your baby's ergonomic M-position (frog-leg position). We also offer a wide range of accessories for your baby carrier.
